TGP Buys Cards

Use the form below to tell us a little about what you’re looking to sell, and we’ll be in touch! Here’s some details on what (and how) The Gathering Place buys cards.

TGP primarily buys Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon cards, offering cash or store credit. We do have a buy list with some flexibility, and TGP reserves the right to decline any part of a lot being sold. Use the form below for sales of high-end items or larger collections, but if you’re selling ten cards or under, feel free to bring them by the shop during business hours for an appraisal.

Rates subject to change based on condition and market value, buying LP and above with exception made for vintage and high-value. Offers are generally made in line with market prices on TCGPlayer, rates between 60 to 80 percent of TCGPlayer Low as a baseline, with movement in that range dependent of buy offer type (cash vs. store credit) and relative condition and desirability considered on a case-by-case basis.

Magic: The Gathering

$5/1k for Common / Uncommon — foils and nonfoils separate, rate is the same

$65/1k for Rare — foils and nonfoils separate, rate is the same

Pokémon

$10/1k for non-holo

$25 for holo and  WotC Era / Vintage Pokémon

TGP is not current buying bulk for other TCGs, all offers made are on a case-by-case basis. The bulk prices listed above are for sorted and desleeved bulk. Any unsorted bulk that requires processing is bought at $3 per 1k.
