Monthly Calendar for The Gathering Place in Google Sheets
This week, The Gathering Place formally concludes April, welcomes May, and congratulates all UNC students on surviving LDOC weekend and wishes them all a commensurate amount of luck on exams.
The Alpha Pie x Sangam LDOC Patio Party was a smashing success in its second iteration, pushed along in no small part by how absolutely slamming the two specialty slices were. Chicken Tikka and Saag Paneer really blew the doors off, shoutout to everyone who came by to get one!
We talked a good bit about Commanderjam last week and we’ll certainly talk a lot more about Commanderjam next week, so we’ll save most of that for the next Dispatch. In the meantime, May is wrapped and ready to go.
In the more immediate, this weekend, we’ve got two big things on the calendar — our cEDH monthly Dual Land Tournament and the official TGP prerelease event for Riftbound’s new set: Unleashed! Here’s the details for each:
cEDH Monthly Dual Land Tournament
Saturday, May 2, 12:00 p.m.
Each month, The Gathering Place holds a CEDH tournament where the prize is based on attendance, and every entrant has a chance to battle it out for a Dual Land straight out of the TGP display case!
This month’s is on Saturday, May 2, starting at noon.
$30 buy in, Dual Land goes to first place, payout prizing to Top 4, and other / additional prizing based on attendance. Come battle it out for Duals, for glory, for love of the game!
Full proxy is permitted, all proxies must be clearly representative of the intended card and contain all information the official printing does in an easy-to-identify fashion.

Riftbound Unleashed Prerelease Event / Tournament
Sunday, May 3, 1:00 p.m.
The next set in Riftbound is here! Colorful characters, new styles of play, more of what you play Riftbound for is about to be Unleashed!
The Gathering Place will host our Unleashed prerelease event on May 3, through carde.io (like all the other Riftbound events at TGP.) Unleashed’s prerelease is $30 entry per player with a 32 player cap, prizing for the prerelease is powered by event promos and additional store prizing from TGP based on attendance. See you there!
